Software Upgrade Service
With our Software Upgrade Service ("SUS") and the resulting version upgrades, you will always remain on the cutting edge of technology - constantly meeting the requirements of the IT market.
To maintain compatibility with different VoIP PBX and seamless functionality of our software with current and future generations of operating systems, we regularly provide you with new XCAPI releases in our TE-SYSTEMS community available for download.
Due to a very close cooperation with our XCAPI Product Partner, customer needs are constantly integrated into the development work, like for example the product roadmap.
Service Introduction
From XCAPI release 3.3.249 onwards licenses are checked for a valid Software Upgrade Service.
Basic Equipment
Each new purchased XCAPI license automatically includes a one-year Software Upgrade Service, which guarantees free upgrades of XCAPI releases.
Existing Licenses
All existing licenses were provided automatically with a one-year Software Upgrade Service.
Extensions
Any extension of the XCAPI will be delivered with a new license. This license includes a Software Upgrade Service with an independent service term.
Scope of Service
During an ongoing service term, all new releases of XCAPI can be downloaded and installed free of charge from the TE-SYSTEMS community.
XCAPI Upgrades
The installation of a new XCAPI release is possible at any time. However, only XCAPI versions whose release dates lie within the service term of the generated license can be used.
Beginning of the Service Term
The service term of the Software Upgrade Service starts with the generation of the license file by activating the LOD Key which is bound to a hardware – but no later than 3 months after purchasing the license file.
Running Time
The Software Upgrade Service can be signed for either one or two years, regardless whether it is the first service order, a service extension or upgrade. After expiration it can be signed again.
Service Extension | Grace Period
It is possible to extend the Software Upgrade Service up to 30 days from the expiration for a period of one or two years on special conditions.
Synchronization of Service Terms
If the service terms will differ from existing XCAPI licenses, the terms can be synchronized if needed. Basis for alignment is the service term of the last purchased XCAPI license. The price is calculated on a monthly basis.
Service Upgrade
If there is no Software Upgrade Service Agreement or if 30 days since the expiration of the last service term have passed, the Software Upgrade Service can be purchased for a new period of one or two years.
Pricing
The formation of the price is based on the existing XCAPI licences. A one-year service extension amounts to 20 % of the purchase price whereas a two-year extension amounts to 15% p.a. The price for a one-year service upgrade is 50% of the purchase price.
